SHOULD YOU WORRY ABOUT BEING LOCAL?

Here’s my question, should a company worry about being local nowadays?

More and more is now done over the internet and so should a business worry about whether the company they buy products and services from are local.

We run a web design business and have a mixture of clients who are local to our base (Cardiff & Bristol) but also a lot who are further afield across the UK and Europe. For us it makes no difference if the client is next door or on the other side of the planet because 99% of the time we don’t have to meet the client, indeed that’s one of the ways we are able to be so competitive on price.

Why do people feel that a business has to be close and how can a business over come this? What are the branding implications?
